The Paradise Bay Resort Hotel is a large complex set in its own gardens and located on the northern tip of the island of Malta, surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea and overlooking the sister islands of Comino and Gozo. The four floor hotel features 221 air conditioned guestrooms that have balconies with views of the bay and the sea, and simple decor in greens and blues with light oak furnishings and patterned rugs. All include bathrooms, direct dial phones, satellite television, safes, coffee/tea makers and mini refrigerators.
The hotel's main restaurant, Il Merill, serves typical Mediterranean cuisine from set menus and a la carte menus. Snacks and lunches are available from the Island's Edge Bistro which offers take away fast food and drinks throughout the day. There are also two bars, serving a range of drinks and cocktails; both have non smoking sections. The hotel has four swimming pools including a fish shaped outdoor pool surrounded by sunbeds and umbrellas, as well as indoor pool and a shallow paddling pool for small children. There is a sauna, spa tub, and fitness room as well as a games room with arcade machines and table football, pool and pinball, and the adjacent playground has a padded floor for child safety. There are two tennis courts on site and the hotel has its own beach and a diving school offering a range of dive courses as well as water sports including water skiing and canoeing (surcharges apply). Golfers can take advantage of discount green fees at the Royal Malta Golf Club. The hotel puts on evening entertainment featuring local bands and cabarets and barbeques are also organised during the summer months. Souvenirs, toys and snacks, newspapers and other items are sold at the hotel gift shop. Wireless Internet access is available in the public areas of the hotel and multilingual staff on the 24 hour front desk can assist with sightseeing information, tour bookings, and transport arrangements. Attractions in the area include the Red Tower fortress, 1.5 kilometres away, and the islands of Gozo and Comino are less than five kilometres away and accessible by boat. Malta Airport is 20 kilometres (12 miles) from the hotel.
