The Abou Nawas Hammamet is a modern resort complex surrounded by three acres of gardens and situated on a long white sandy beach in the Cap Bon region of Tunisia, six kilometres from Hammamet town centre. The 222 air conditioned guestrooms are decorated in blue and white with modern furnishings and headboards influenced by Moorish design. All have balconies and amenities include cable TV, safes, direct dial phones, Internet connections (surcharge) and bathrooms with hair dryers. A half board room rate is offered.
Surrounding the large outdoor swimming pool is a spacious sun terrace with lounge chairs and parasols where guests can soak up the sun whilst sipping on a cool drink from the poolside bar. Snacks are also available from the coffee shop's outdoor terrace and in the summer months guests can enjoy a barbeque. The El Feluka health club boasts an indoor heated pool, sauna, Turkish bath and spa tub and further relaxation comes in the form of spa treatments including massage and specialised seaweed and algae treatments. Pampering can continue at the hair and beauty salon and for the more energetic there is a fully equipped gym offering aerobics classes. Guests can enjoy access to two hard surface floodlit tennis courts and the private stretch of beach provides opportunities for sea swimming and water sports including pedalos and windsurfing. There are three restaurants and four bars to keep guests happy and in the evening there is also a disco at the nightclub; 24 hour room service is also available. Free on site parking is available and other practical amenities include currency exchange and dry cleaning services. There are two golf courses nearby and the hotel can provide shuttle transport to either of these (surcharge). Nearby attractions include an aqua park and a casino within three kilometres. The town of Hammamet and the old city are a six kilometre drive and Tunisia's Carthage Land theme park is 20 kilometres from the hotel. Tunis Carthage Airport is 70 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 60 minutes.
